The Fire Tower / Seneca Point: Rt. 36 through Cooksburg, top of the hill, turn left. Old forest fire watch tower and Seneca Rocks overview. Classic Cooks...
Ride the Clarion: When the weather is warm, take a tube, kayak or canoe on a float down the Clarion River. Pack a lunch and pick a nice rock beside the river to stop and enjoy. There are multiple vendors in Cooksburg to rent equipment or they will drop you off (for a fee) up river. (Pro-tip: pack a cooler & watch for Bald Eagles)
Bear Town Rocks: Clear Creek offers a great, easy hike to see the rocks and explore a bit. Kids of all ages LOVE climbing on the rocks and exploring the rock groupings.

Hiking: World class hiking awaits you in both Clear Creek and Cook Forest. We have provided maps for both parks. (Pro-tip: Try the Cathedral Trail in Cook Forest...especially with a little snow...)

Winter: Winter offers the visitor some great activities, from cross country skiing to snowmobiling.
Shopping: Summer offers the visitor the best amount of shopping with all of the areas stores open at least on the weekends, many open throughout the week. Winter options are more limited, but there are still options. (Pro-tip: visit the Sawmill Center located on River Road outside of Cooksburg and support local artisans.)
Theater: The Verna Leith Sawmill Theater on Forest Road, just outside of Cooksburg offers local theater during the summer months. Click here for more information.
Festivals: There are many festivals and happenings that occur throughout the parks. Some of the more notable ones are the Herb and Fiber Festival and the French and Indian War Encampment. Click here for more information on these great events.
Horseback riding: There are several local vendors that offer horseback riding in the area.
Swimming: The Clarion River offers unlimited swimming opportunities with several good places along River road outside of Cooksburg to stop and swim. A pool is also available in the warmer months at Campers Paradise Campground near Clear Creek State Park. A fee does apply. Directions here.
Hunting and Fishing
The Cook Forest area provides outdoorsman with many opportunities to explore. There are several State Game Lands nearby. SGL 283 is within a couple miles and the Cook Forest and Clear Creek State park offer thousands of acres of land. You can access the PA Game Commission website at www.pgc.pa.gov/HuntTrap/StateGameLands for more information.
There is lots of good fishing in the area, including the kids fishing pond located just behind the Cook Forest State Park Office in Cooksburg. The Clarion River offers trout, bass and other species of fish.
Attractions
Farmers Inn: This local attraction offers a driving range, small zoo, bulk candy store, petting zoo. Left on Rt. 36 to Sigel and turn left, follow signs.
Ice Cream: there are several place in and around the parks to treat yourself to some ice cream . (Pro-tip: the best part of being an adult is having ice cream any time you want...)
Go-Karts, Water Slides, Mini-Golf, etc. There are several vendors in and around Cook Forest that offer adventures for kids, big and small.
